- Establishment matters of officers under Central Staffing Scheme, Assistant Secretaries, CSS, CSCS, CSSS, OL Cadres, MTS, Staff Car Drivers and Canteen Staff.
- General co-ordination within various DoT divisions, and with Ministries.
- Loans and advances in DoT not under the control of Member of Digital Communications Commission.
- Training both domestic and International.
- Matters relating to O&M procedures & maintenance of records
- Action taken on Cabinet/Cabinet Committees’ decisions
- RTI Act and functions under RTI Act.
- Coordination related to Output Outcome Monitoring Framework (OOMF) dashboard of NITI Aayog & India Code Portal of M/o Law.
- Reporting of important events of the department to Cabinet Secretariat
- Swachh Bharat Mission & related activities
- Constitution of Internal Complaint Committee as per Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (PP&R) Act 2013
- General Administration (G-I & G-II), Printing and Publicity.
- Parliament Section.
- Central Registry and Records, CP&PR, Security, Purchase and Maintenance of Staff Car etc.
- Implementation of Official Language Act in DoT and its PSUs, Autonomous Bodies and Subordinate Offices.
- Sports, Welfare, Protocol, Library, Canteen
- Coordination of e-Samiksha/PRAGATI/AEBAS
- Social Media Cell
- Financial approvals and sanctions of advances/withdrawals of GPF, Medical Claims for non-advances, Tour TA/DA Bills, Election Duty Bills
