This RTI Information is being asked with reference to AADHAAR card usages with Telecom Services. The RTI information is need for the below:

(A) Is it mandatory for Telecome company and there vendors to ask for AADHAAR CARD for Taking new Telephone/Internet/SIM services ?

(B) Is it mandatory for Telecom/Mobile companies to insist and force for giving AADHAAR CARD for KYC reason for showcasing as thier right to take, otherwise denial in service.

(D) What action can be taken against Telecom Companies or their 3rd party service providers, quoting that the company has made it mandatory to give Aadhar, if not then services will be bared or not given ?

(E) Has TRAI given any advice or circular to Telecom Mobile companies to make it mandatory to Take Aadhaar or deny the service ? If yes, please quote details. If No, kindly mentioned the action that could be taken and to whom the matter should be taken too.
