Dear Sir/ Madam,
I am Viknesh Electronics Engineer from Tamil Nadu, India. I understood from the various articles listed in the government websites and newspapers that selling and procuring Cellphone and WiFi Jammers are illegal in India.
I would like to get clarification from the concerned department that why the online and offline stores are allowed to sell cellphones and Wi-Fi jammers. I have attached a screenshot that shows the cell phone jammers availability on the Amazon India website.
Now a days home securities devices are using mobile and WiFi technology as a medium to alert the user when an unintended activity happens. So, if these jammers are not banned, there is a high chance of using these jammers by burglars and others to block the wireless cameras and other security devices.
Kindly advise the concerned department to take necessary action to ban the illegal selling of cellphone and Wi-Fi jammers in online and offline stores.
