Dear Sir,
This is regarding your instructions regarding linking of my mobile no. with the aadhaar card.
I visited the airtel store at Asian Business Centre, Kalaburagi - 585102 for linking my airtel prepaid mobile no. 9972898088 with my aadhaar card but was denied as the existing name registered on my mobile no. differs from my aadhaar card.
I was provided two options.
1. Migrate to a postpaid plan and retain it for a minimum period of 3 months.
2. Surrender the sim card and to recollect the new sim after 12 days as my entire account needs to be deleted. Moreover, i was informed of the risk of losing my number as it can be taken by other customer within that period.
I was also asked that I need to provide 10 frequent dialed numbers from my sim for both the above options.
Migrating to postpaid plan involves a fixed payments of not less than Rs. 200 every month. Being a student i wont be able to afford this amount. Surrendering the sim and waiting for such a long time isnt possible either.
I purchased my sim in 2007 by providing my own identity card, but there must have been a mistake by the retailer in uploading the respective document.
Please provide information in this case. Do I need to go through the above procedure or i can simply link my aadhaar card which will overwrite all the previous ownership details.
Please provide copy of the rules/ regulations/ orders/ citizens charter in this matter so that i can present it at the airtel store and link the aadhaar card without any further difficulties.
I have attached my conversation with airtel executive for your reference.
Waiting for your response.
Thank you.
