Kindly let us know, if the Ministry of Communication & IT has taken any intiative or projects to bring about latest global technologies for Disaster Management Communication.If any such redundant technology has been adopted by the Govt. of India, then the process involved for adoption of such technologies by the State Disaster Management Authorities may be incorporated in the official Website of the DoT.Further, it is requested that the Ministry Of Comm. & IT may consider the need of redundant Communication in disaster management alongwith with other areas of developement to strengthen the capacities of the State Disaster Management Authorities to respond and communicate promptly and effectively during disaster situations in which conventional Telecom/Cellular Tecnology is collapsed.
